Day 1

Collected from your Sydney CBD Hotel at 08:30 and transferred to Bankstown airport

Enjoy a private helicopter transfer to the Blue Mountains where you will be met by your guide, Mark Tickner

Enjoy a full day exploring the wilderness of the southern Blue Mountains region

This afternoon take a short helicopter flight via the Three Sisters to Medlow Baths where you will be met and transferred to Lilianfels.

Day 2

Enjoy a final morning with breakfast before returning to Sydney by private road transfer

Day 1 - Fly by helicopter to the Blue Mountains

  • Fly by private helicopter to a remote valley on the Wollondilly River where you will be met on arrival by your local wilderness guide & host, Mark Tickner

For many years after the arrival of the first fleet in 1788, the mountains immediately to the west and southwest of Sydney proved to be an impenetrable barrier. Today much of the land is still a natural wilderness and the ideal place for nature enthusiasts wishing to experience some of the finest bush country in Australia.  The valleys here harbour a great variety of wildlife in immense numbers and in the company of Mark and with a little patience; you may be rewarded with sightings of Grey kangaroos, wombats and the shy platypus.

As this is an exclusive experience, Mark will tailor you time with him to suit your interests; perhaps a visit to Wombeyan Caves, bush walking, wildlife spotting, fly-fishing and kayaking.  Mark is a local guide, whose knowledge of the bush tracks and rivers is second to none, and whose relationships with local property owners provides access to properties on the southern boundaries of the Blue Mountains National Park.

This afternoon your pilot will take you for a scenic flight over the Blue Mountains National Park and the Three Sisters before landing at Medlow Baths where you will be met and transferred to  Lilianfels.   

Lilianfels sits on the edge of the magnificent Jamison Valley, overlooking world heritage listed wilderness. This historic five star, European style country house is set amidst two acres of English style gardens and whilst elegant in the way of old world hotels, it is a relaxed and friendly place to stay.    Breakfast is served in the casual café and at this time of the day the room is sunny and bright.  In the evening casual Italian style meals are served here.  Lilianfels’ Darleys Restaurant is highly regarded and is located in one of the original buildings on the property.

Day Two - transfer by road to Sydney

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast.

During your stay at Lilianfels’ you might like to enjoy their excellent Spa, take time to relax  by one of the two swimming pools (one indoor and one outdoor) or settled down with a newspaper in the welcoming lounge.  Some of the most spectacular viewpoints of the mountains and sandstone escarpments are just a short walk from Lilianfels and bush walks trace the edge of the escarpments for breathtaking views or drop steeply down to the valley floor.  

Later today you will be transferred by road in a private vehicle to your Sydney CBD Hotel.
